Saturday Special

Enjoy these vintage videos from Crooklyn's Finest!!!! and do enjoy the HOT weather!

I'mma Vote OBAMA Way!

Today is truly history in the making. Barack Obama is the first black nominee officially running for the world's most powerful office. As a child of the art world I am quite fond of the social gap between politics and art, but there's something about OBAMA that's making everybody have a change of heart! After everything he's faced he's still going strong!!!! The most eclectic artichects of the art world are taking notice and supporting him too.Taz Arnold, one-third of the new hip-hop, funk and free-spirited group SA-RA made a ill record and video

The chorus is hilarious,
"F@#% what ya momma say, i'mma vote obama way. We hood, we votin and throwing it up."

*Sidenote- Hillary opened alot of doors for females in this country, you gotta give it up for her too !!!!!

JUNE 18TH

Okay after dealing with blogger and it's issues I can FINALLY announce the event!!!!!!!!!!!! So for almost a year I started CrooklynChronicles and it's been a couple of months since Kai(former CrooklynChronicles contributor) started 718bodega. We are proud to present to you our blog launch and networking event! I can't tell you how much young incredible designers, artists musicians and inspiring entrepeneurs that we rub elbows with on a daily basis. Some have been featured on our blogs and we feel that it's vital to introduce you to them! So we are asking you to come out and support. The event will be held at of course at Crooklyn's Chronicles favorite vintage shop NOT JUST VINTAGE(see january feature, www.crooklynchronicles.com/2008/01/honey-its-not-just-vintage.html). Writers, designers, stylist, singers, entrepeneurs and all eclectic walks of life please feel free to stop by!

URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A VIDEO TO VIEW AT WORK OR AROUND CHILDREN.VERY STRONG LANGUAGE!

I'm sure this is WAY off the topic but it's a must that I put this on the blog. The videos that are posted below are EXTREMELY alarming and scary! The first time my cousin Shawn sent it to me I had chills and was tearing up. I have no idea if this is a prank or for real but I beg young men and women to be very careful! In an era where little girls and boys even grown men and women (whatever your preference) are fascinated and blindly drawn in by materialistic things, sometimes consequences are forgot! I beg that we take more care of our bodies, value our selves way more than a Louis bag or if he/she is driving a new jaguar! AIDS is a epidemic that is killing ALL PEOPLE and the fact that there is a man that is or may be using it as a weapon to infect and kill just makes me LITERALLY SICK TO MY STOMACH. This man has said he's infected 1500 people. PLEASE BE CAREFUL and PASS THIS VIDEO ON. I'm praying this is just a idiotic pranker! He NEEDS TO BE ARRESTED!!!!!!!

TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Transcultralist my love for art and culture has no limits. So, tonight it's only right that I attend this ECLECTIC event in CROOKLYN. Founder Bradley K. Hagan has created an evening where diverse artists from different countries showcase their creativity in efforts to find a common ground. Let's embrace this movement!!!
The event will be at the GALAPAGOS Art Space in Williamsburg with a small $10 door fee!

For my Crooklyn Teens!!!

Okay, so this is so off of Crooklyn topics but for all of my teen readers I did two book reviews for ELLEgirl.COM and surprisingly I really liked the books. I mean generally I wouldn't rush to Barnes and Noble or Borders for young adult novels but these two books took me back to a time when I was really young and a little more fragile to the ways of the world! So if your between the ages of 13-18 I really recommend it! If you get a chance tell ELLEgirl I sent ya!

Check out my book reviews!
